Read scripture every day.

I realized I was delaying reading the scriptures because wading through the letters of Paul is hard. I have to stop and parse each sentence to make sure I'm understanding, and some of it even then I'm not sure. The presence of God's Holy Spirit to guide me is vitally necessary. Don't worry about reading a lot each day; focus on listening to the thoughts God has for you.
