Hail Fellow Well Met!

Rest looks weird

One of the advantages of experience is you recognize when a cold is coming on. I knew on Tuesday that a sore throat was incoming. It was uncomfortable on Wednesday. By that night I felt bad enough to cancel all commitments.

I’m writing this on Thursday; I’m staying home. My throat has a persistent frog; I’m constantly trying to clear it. No cough only because it won’t come out.

Other than that I feel fine. Well, fine enough. I can stand, I can walk, I can drive. I can do a lot of things, like write coherently and reason. How do you get yourself to take a day to rest, when the list of things to do is long and there’s still some energy left?
