Learning is work.
Education is not free. Never has been; never will be. Very young children spend all their time and energy experiencing, exploring, and trying to improve, then sleeping to process information and recharge energy. It’s work. When we get older, we pay time, attention, and effort; still work. Then we start paying money for help learning, access to information, tutoring, more informed teachers. We pay for someone to require us to show our work, so they can then award a stamp of approval, a document stating that we did it.
There are as many ways to learn something as there are people to learn it; if you are learning in school or out, paying cash or investing time, learning is work. Value it.
