Give yourself time to grow.

When in high school I felt lonely and unpopular, my mother said, "The boys will not appreciate you, but the men will."
She was right. I met much more mature men later, and some of them were interested. It's worth waiting for them to grow up. I didn't sit and swoon, though; I got more education and work experience. I learned to smile at people first, not wait for them to smile at me. I learned to be a friend. I grew up... well, enough to marry and stick to my husband while continuing to learn.
